Two rows of white chairs were arranged in the centre of the room, a minimalist floral photo wall stood against the wall and stalls of clothing and accessories lined the side of the space. Adelaide Fashion Festival SLOW Saturday


  The whole reason I decided to make the trip from Canberra to Adelaide for the Adelaide Fashion Festival this year was for SLOW Saturday. Everything else was a bonus. After starting life on the fringe of last year’s Festival, this year SLOW became an official part of the schedule in 2018. Adelaide Fashion Festival Student Runway 2018


  My favourite runway at a fashion festival is typically a student runway. Without the pressure to create something commercially viable and with more opportunity to explore, students often create garments that push the boundaries of design. When deciding which shows to attend at the Adelaide Fashion Festival this year, the student runway was top of the list after Slow Saturday, a day dedicated to sustainable fashion.
