As part of embracing circularity and extending the life of discarded materials, a growing number of brands are creating new products from recycled goods. Here a few brands and products that we are rather partial to.

Made from recycled plastic

Girlfriend Collective’s core fabric products are made from 79% recycled polyester (or RPET) and 21% spandex. RPET is made from post-consumer water bottles. Shop Now.

Made from Combined Waste

Kowtow‘s new swim collection is made from Econyl, a recycled fibre manufactured in Italy from pre and post-consumer nylon waste material including fishing nets, discarded carpets, plastic components and fabric scraps. Made from Fishing Nets

Girlfriend Collective’s Lite fabric is lightweight, quick drying, and made from recycled fishing nets. Shop Now.  

Verdura shoes are made in Italy from recycled fishing nets which are washed several times to soften the fabric. It’s then dyed with natural pigments and combined with cork, a recycled rubber sole and waste leather left over from shoe production. Pick some up at Sissa Sorella.
