On Thursday night (28 June) we attended a rather interesting event mixing two unlikely bedfellows: fashion and real estate. Our friends at The Fashion Vault joined forces with property developer Keggins to celebrate the launch of Sapphire, the last waterfront development at the Kingston Foreshore in Canberra.
After looking at the floor plans for incredible property we couldn’t afford while sipping on sparkling wine and overdosing on pickles and peppermint slice, we were treated to a popup runway show featuring looks inspired by the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia.
Four models strode the runway wearing brands like Zimmerman, Bec & Bridge, and Thurley, each styled by Janette, Deejay and Sofia of The Fashion Vault. While the models did their thing and we obligingly instastoried away, the three stylists offered styling tips for dressing up and down each look.
Perhaps our favourite part of the entire evening was not the fashion but the special architectural model of the Sapphire complex, complete with little people enjoying all the amenities. Just imagine living in the penthouse apartment and then casually going for jaunt in a boat, all while fabulously dressed of course.
