Rebel Muse Second Birthday

It’s no secret we think Alicia Xyrakis is amazing. She opened her first fashion boutique, Rebel Muse, on Lonsdale street in Braddon. Then, as if running one successful business wasn’t enough, came the opening of her second store: Peachy Keen. A mecca for accessories, Rebel Muse’s little sister is just as capable of making us reach for our credit card as its sibling.

And now, in what feels like no time at all, comes Rebel Muse’s second birthday. Naturally, a huge celebration was in order. Attendees were treated to an evening of fun at Lazy Su (if you haven’t been yet, you must, the food is amazing) as well as luscious goodie bags. We talked, we laughed, we ate and drank, all while celebrating the incredible businesswoman that is Alicia.

The key components to Alicia’s success have been to bring a tight edit of must have clothes and accessories to Canberra, many brands of which were not previously available to us, create an engaging customer service experience, and to successfully build a large, loyal following of dedicated customers.

With each Canberra shopping centre morphing into a cookie cutter mall made up of the same chain stores, just like those found in any other city, it is vital that we support the small businesses and business owners who take the risk to create a unique, independent retail landscape outside of those structures.

So vote with your wallet, shop local and head in to Rebel Muse and Peachy Keen to celebrate.
