Let us tell you what you should be doing this Saturday evening. Go out for dinner to one of the ten new restaurants that have popped up in the last week? Have a few of those cocktails that are served in a gumboot that we read about on facebook yesterday? Stay home and watch Netflix? No, no, and no.
You should be going to the CARDIF collective Fashion Alley event and here’s why:
- The event takes place in an alley as the sun sets (pretty cool hey)
- Fifteen local designers will showcase pieces including new collections from FASHFEST favourites Zilpah Tart and Hunter the Label
- A new label called Thunder Thighs (is this a great name or what) will launch on the CARDIF runway
- There’s a free art exhibition featuring local artists from M16 Artspace
- There will be not one but two silent auctions taking place raising money for the Heart Foundation and the Lost and Found (an initiative created by everyone’s favourite palate furniture makers boyandgirlco) which supports of survivors of domestic violence. Items up for auction include select pieces from the runway, art exhibition and the Cardif Collective.
The event takes place on Saturday 8 April from 7pm. Highgate Lane, Kingston. So what are you waiting for?
