A Few Outfits

The Buxom Cow

Top: Topshop

Skirt: Alexa Chung for AG Jeans

Shoes: Charlotte Olympia

The Look: I wear this A-line skirt to death. My mother will tell you it’s too short but I feel I may as well show off my legs while I am still youthful. I bought this shirt years ago because it reminded me of my grandfather who used to be a diary farmer.

Tom Boy

Shirt: Country Road

Shorts: Country Road

Sneakers: Chanel

The Look: The terrible truth about this shirt is that I bought it a couple years ago, wore it once, washed it, and then never ironed it. I had the iron out ironing fabric for a photo shoot and thought it was high time I ironed this shirt to wear again. I paired it with loose shorts and sneakers for a relaxed vibe.

Borrowed from the Boy

Bomber: Paul Smith

Cropped Shirt: Kenzo

Skirt: Country Road

The Look: I began the day in this cropped shirt and high waisted skirt combo but got cold by the afternoon and borrowed my boyfriend’s Paul Smith bomber jacket. Bombers are big news right now and no bomber is better than your BF’s.

Hanging Out With My Wang Out

Dress: Alexander Wang x H&M

Shoes: Burberry

Bag: Gucci

The Look: I love this dress. My lovely friend Kara got up at 4am to line up and get me this dress so it is very special to me. I don’t normally do sexy or revealing but the sporty cut of this dress makes it work for me. I grounded the look with chunky sandals.

Heat Wave

Shirt: Stella McCartney

Skirt: Alexa Chung for AG Jeans

Shoes: Gucci

The Look: This was one hot day in Melbourne and I’ll be honest a suede skirt was ill advised. But hey I was packing light and I didn’t have any other options. I just had to own being sweaty in suede.

Tarot Time

Dress: Gorman

Shoes: Charlotte Olympia

The Look: I had seen this new Gorman print on Instagram and was eager to get my hands on a piece. I opted for this versatile shirt dress which I know I can dress up or down. My mum went through every size 12 to get one with the cat in a prominent position.

Bargain Beauty

Dress: H&M

Belt: Gucci

Boots: Beau Coops x Romance Was Born

The Look: I saw Margaret Zhang wearing this dress on Instagram and looked it up online. I could not believe it was only $30 so I headed straight to H&M and found it to be true. There were barely any sizes left. This is actually a size 16 (H&M sizing is wack) but with a belt around the waist you would never know. I have had these boots on lay-by from Pink Ink for ages and am so happy to finally have them!

Emma Batchelor

As well as a near obsessive interest in fashion, Emma is a former scientist, occasional contemporary dancer, avid reader and self-confessed cat lady (she has three). Emma lived in Leiden in the Netherlands as a baby and Leiden ought to have been her middle name had her mother thought of it at the time and not chosen Louise instead.
