Sheree Yap at New York Fashion Week

After three flights and a taxi ride later, hair stylist Sheree Yap has arrived in New York to take part in Fashion Week. Sheree has been cutting and styling hair at Kundalini salon for over four years and for the second year in a row, her hard work and dedication to her craft have earned her a trip to New York courtesy of hair product brand Original & Mineral.

Located within Hotel Realm in Canberra, Kundalini salon offers a luxurious experience with hair cutting, styling, and colouring, as well as make up and eyebrow threading all on offer in a sleek yet intimate environment. The salon is a big supporter of Original & Mineral (O&M), a brand that prides itself on creating high quality products with a low chemical content. When O&M had a spot available on their New York Fashion Week team they chose to extend an invite to a stylist from Kundalini to join them.

You may recall that we recently got the scoop on Kundalini director Susie Dimov’s recent trip to Hawaii to attend the Mane Addicts Beauty Retreat, so there is no shortage of exciting opportunities coming out of this salon.

It was announced at the annual Kundalini Awards Night earlier in the year that Sheree would be heading back to New York to join the O&M team styling hair at several fashion week shows. ‘The thing that I look forward to most is being part of something so enormous, I mean its not every day that I have the opportunity to participate in something this incredible. I can’t wait to soak it all up’, said Sheree of her upcoming trip.

Sheree is keen to share what she learns in New York with her colleagues and clients at Kundalini when she returns. But that’s not all, Leiden has already booked Sheree for a creative shoot so stay tuned for hair inspiration from the runways of New York.
