Gucci x Chatsworth House

Not long after we recovered from the latest installment of Alessandro Michele’s unrelentingly ‘more is more is more’ aesthetic vision for Gucci, an exciting announcement has been made. After showing its latest resort collection at Westminster Abbey in London, the Italian fashion house will continue its love affair with Britain in a new partnership with the historic Chatsworth House.

For those of you who don’t know, Chatsworth House is a large stately home in Derbyshire, England. It is the seat of the Duke of Devonshire and has been suggested as Jane Austen’s point of inspiration for Mr Darcy’s family home Pemberley in Pride and Prejudice. The partnership between the historic house and Gucci will result in cultural program focusing on fashion and style that will be unrolled over three years.

It seems a trip to England may be in order but before the collaboration begins, the house will provide the backdrop for the advertising campaign for the latest Resort collection. Keep your eyes peeled for these inspirational images and more Gucci x Chatsworth updates.

In the mean time enjoy some of our favourite looks from the Gucci Resort ’17 Collection.

Emma Batchelor

As well as a near obsessive interest in fashion, Emma is a former scientist, occasional contemporary dancer, avid reader and self-confessed cat lady (she has three). Emma lived in Leiden in the Netherlands as a baby and Leiden ought to have been her middle name had her mother thought of it at the time and not chosen Louise instead.
