Fashionation Cooma Socials

On Saturday 30 April, three Leiden contributors descended on Cooma to cover Fashionation. Presented by The Community Chest and sponsored by Australian Wool Innovation, the event set out to showcase the work of local designers as well as highlight the region’s wool industry.

The event took place in a large wool shed which created the perfect atmosphere for a night of celebrating wool. Almost 400 guests enjoyed the runway show, drinks and canapés, the Challenge item auction, designer pop-up shops and a post show bar.

As well as cover the event (stay tuned for our runway report and designer profiles), photographer Lauren McKay took the opportunity to snap some of the lovely guests on the evening.

Emma Batchelor

As well as a near obsessive interest in fashion, Emma is a former scientist, occasional contemporary dancer, avid reader and self-confessed cat lady (she has three). Emma lived in Leiden in the Netherlands as a baby and Leiden ought to have been her middle name had her mother thought of it at the time and not chosen Louise instead.
