As someone with an extreme sweet tooth, I have always enjoyed Easter. Chocolate hot cross buns, chocolate eggs and Easter tea are my idea of indulgence. I also enjoy taking the opportunity to break out my Easter themed footwear. Now I do actually wear these shoes and sandals all year round, but at Easter they take on an extra layer of relevance.
My most special pair are my Charlotte Olympia/Pat the Bunny sandals. They were limited edition and hideously expensive but are ever so cute and versatile. In classic black and gold, they add a touch of whimsy to any ensemble. My other Easter go-to is my Marc Jacobs bunny slippers. I wear these ones much more often as they make a great day shoe.
So don’t leave cute bunny shoes to children. Worn in the right way, adults can certainly rock animal themed footwear and still be taken seriously. Pair yours with a more polished look for a hint of fun or match them with a super casual combo to liven things up.
