‘I like to consider myself an immensely creative person. Having modelled for years I love being a part of the creative process which sees the development of a concept into a beautiful set of images shared between creatives, shown off to the world.
In saying this I am usually, as the model, part of someone else’s vision having to quickly jump into character to pull together a concept designed by someone else. I have always been intrigued by the design, styling and conceptualisation process of a photo shoot and I knew it was time for me to create a photoshoot which was completely me. From the concept, to the styling, to the posing – this shoot is completely me and I am proud to present something that means so much to me and showcases so much of my personality.
In saying this I owe two very big thank you’s to the two creatives who completely ran with my idea and helped me bring my ultimate shoot to life.
First to Chris, a photographer who I have admired for months, at only 18 he is one of the most talented photographers I have worked with and he has so much passion and heart. The future possibilities for this guy are endless considering his unbelievable talent.
And secondly to Lilah, as a seasoned professional she is so knowledgeable but more than that she is genuine. She assisted with discussing my individual face and how to apply makeup in the future for my features. She also gave me some real insight into the makeup industry. She has worked so hard to get to where she is and having her onboard was a privilege.
It is extremely hard sometimes to put yourself out there and be open to criticism but I hope you all can enjoy this set as much as we enjoyed creating it.
Be brave and be you.
